NIH Issues Plan for Implementing Gold Standard Science

In response to the Executive Order (E.O.) on Restoring Gold Standard Science, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy issued guidance to agency heads, directing them to develop implementation plans to ensure that scientific activities fulfill the nine tenets of Gold Standard Science. On August 22, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) released its implementation strategy, which highlights the agency’s ongoing initiatives in support of gold standard science and introduces planned efforts for expansion. The implementation plan also includes a framework for periodic assessment and communication of outcomes.
