Cellular Plasticity in Cancer

Summary

May 4-8, 2025

This inaugural conference will explore the latest findings on the nature and roles of diverse cellular plasticity programs in premalignant cancer progression, tumor evolution and metastasis, and adaptation to therapy.

This is a first-of-its-kind meeting and is also FASEB’s first Science Research Conference to take place in China. Special emphasis will be given to collaboration between scientists from different countries, early career researchers, and those from historically excluded groups.

Goals and Takeaways:

· The latest ongoing research in the field of cancer cell plasticity.

· Differing perspectives from a range of international leaders in the field of cancer cell plasticity.

· The application of new technologies used in the field of cancer cell plasticity.

Program Topics

· Oncofetal reprogramming in tumor development and progression

· Mechanisms regulating cancer cell plasticity

· Metabolic reprogramming, plasticity, and tumor progression

· Cancer cell plasticity during metastasis

· Cancer stem cells and the tumor microenvironment

· Tumor plasticity and immune evasion

· Tumor heterogeneity

· Novel therapy in stem cells and cancer

Workshops

A Meet the Experts session will pair early career investigators with senior scientists to discuss research and career challenges.

A Meet the Editors session will provide an opportunity for attendees to discuss the processes and challenges involved in academic publishing.

A Career Development Workshop will focus on the professional pathway from early career to academic faculty members.
